On April 27, 2018, the Scheinfeld Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation will host its 7th annual New Venture Challenge, a business plan and pitch competition for students from Santa Barbara City College, and other Santa Barbara County colleges and high schools to promote youth entrepreneurship.

The winning students receive various levels of cash awards (or other opportunities) depending on the awards raised and participating sponsors. The current goal is over $15,000 for cash, scholarship and various in-kind opportunities.

Mark these important dates on your calendar for the New Venture Challenge:

March 1 – Registration opens

April 19 – Business plan submission deadline

April 24 – Finalists announced

April 26 –  Slide decks due

April 27 – New Venture Challenge pitch competition

May 4 – New Venture Challenge awards dinner
